I’m Claire-Louise Rafferty,

also known as “Raff”

I’m a Personal Trainer, Wellbeing coach, Group exercise instructor, confidant and all-round mind and body health nut ( except I don’t eat nuts). 

Based in Gloucestershire, I work from a well equipped, personal training studio in Churchdown for one to one and small group based personal training.

Outside of that, you’ll also find me delivering group exercise classes in Churchdown, Hucclecote and Brockworth. I also teach at the Nuffield Health Gym in Gloucester

 

I want to work with people to help them to be happy, achieve a healthy lifestyle, to be able to reach their personal goals but to be able to do it in a supportive way.

PERSONAL TRAINING

First and foremost I am a personal trainer, I help my clients achieve their goals in one to one sessions, group personal training and group exercise classes. The most important thing for me about personal training is in the name… it is personal to you, to your goals, your needs, and your abilities.

I’m a huge believer in building confidence so that you can eventually go at it alone (if you wish). I’m invested in every single one of my clients. I want you to succeed and I believe that you can, whatever success looks like for you. 

RAFF PT

Having personal training can be a daunting decision so you need to know what it is. This is not an ‘off the peg’ training solution that is the same for everyone. All clients are different and have different goals, I will help you find out what works for you and your body type because every body is different.

Personal training with me could include weights, kettlebells, a ballet barre, boxing gloves, mat work, suspension training… but whatever your sessions include they should be fun and you should enjoy it!

What I Teach

Zumba with Raff

Zumba is a dance fitness class that combines fast and slow rhythms to tone and sculpt the body. It’s a fun and energetic class, a totally infectious moon enhancer; nobody has ever left a zumba class in a bad mood.

Barre Fitness

Barre is a ballet inspired body conditioning class, suitable for all ages and abilities. It’s generally low impact, but a great total body workout.

Boxcercise

Is a high intensity interval training class based on boxing training. We use boxing gloves and pads and it’s a contact class. Suitable for all ages and abilities, boxercise is fast paced and designed to get your heart rate up and work your whole body.

Freestyle Fitness Yoga

This is a contemporary approach to yoga, mixing traditional yoga postures, stretches and balances with fitness principles. Traditional yoga tends to combine both the physical and spiritual experience, in FFY we concentrate on the physical aspect using yoga postures that endorse strength and stability and increase flexibility. FFY is designed to get the very best out of everyone so is suitable for complete beginners or those wanting to change and adapt their yoga practice.

Lower Body Blast

A lower body conditioning class, designed to sculpt and strengthen the legs, tone the bum and work the abs. Classes vary each week, from body weight exercises, using weights or a circuit style class.
